Senior Home Connection

Aged care funding

Ask your provider before you pay

If you would like to use aged care funding for Senior Home Connection support, ask your provider to review the service or resource first.

Robyn can prepare a quote and professional information for your provider before anything is invoiced.

The important part

Funding is not automatic

Whether a service can be paid for through aged care funding depends on the person's assessed needs, approved services, available funding and the requirements of their provider.

Please obtain approval from your provider before paying if you are hoping to use aged care funding.

Two different enquiries

Exercise Physiology and the sensory cards are not the same thing

Personal Exercise Physiology resources

Clinical allied health

Your Personal Exercise Physiology Pack

Exercise physiology is included in the Australian Government aged care service list as an allied health service.

The individual service still needs to be appropriate for the person and fit within their approved aged care arrangements.

Practical resource

Co Regulation Sensory Cards

The cards are a general resource rather than a personalised Exercise Physiology service.

If you hope to use aged care funding for the cards, ask your provider whether they are willing and able to approve the resource within your particular arrangements.

Senior Home Connection cannot guarantee that a provider will fund the cards.

Support at Home

Exercise physiology sits within clinical support

Support at Home replaced the former Home Care Packages Program in November 2025.

Exercise physiology is listed within allied health and therapy services. Support at Home services are delivered according to the participant's assessed needs, goals and preferences.

This still needs to be individual

Being an eligible type of allied health service does not automatically mean every Exercise Physiology service is approved for every participant.

How to begin

Ask first, quote second, approval before payment

1

Ask your provider

Tell your care partner or provider what support you are interested in and ask whether it could be considered within your current arrangements.

2

Contact Robyn

Tell Robyn whether you are asking about Personal Exercise Physiology, the sensory cards or both.

3

Receive a quote

Robyn can prepare the quote and professional information your provider needs to review.

4

Wait for approval

Once your provider confirms approval and explains the payment arrangement, Robyn can issue the appropriate invoice.

Not sure what to say?

Keep the question simple

I am interested in this support and would like to know whether it could be considered within my current aged care plan. Can you please tell me whether approval is possible before I pay?

If your provider needs more information, ask them to contact Robyn directly.

Questions for your provider

Does this support relate to one of my assessed needs, goals or preferences?

Is this type of support included in my current plan?

Is there funding available for this support?

Does my provider need to approve Robyn before anything begins?

Does my provider need a quote or other paperwork before deciding?

Provider paperwork

You do not need to work out all of the paperwork yourself

Different providers may ask for different information before approving an external service.

Forward their request to Robyn and she can provide the relevant information that applies to the service being requested.

Robyn may be able to provide

Professional qualification and ESSA registration information

A description of the proposed service

A written quote

A Xero invoice addressed as required

Insurance or onboarding documents where required

A brief clinical report when this has been agreed as part of the service

Personal Exercise Physiology

Personalised movement support for everyday life

Your Personal Exercise Physiology Pack can focus on balance, falls confidence, mobility, strength, pain, flexibility and the everyday movements the person wants to keep doing.

The exercises are selected for the individual rather than sold as a generic movement deck.
